 ENDING THE TRAGEDY

 OF FAMILY DISINTEGRATION

 AND CHRONIC HOMELESSNESS

We at the CYSJ are determined to contribute to the healing of families in the 21st Century. We are committed to lend our experience and expertise to an area that has been attempted by many social service agencies but we endeavor to search for solutions beyond the obvious. We intend to work on a collective platform that is not only inclusive but interactive. We intent to utilize all technologies available in the modern world including Facebook, My Space, Twitter, and Gmail to stay connected with children, as our clients are getting younger and more adept mastering the technologies that are available much earlier than has been the tradition, half a generation ago.

We at CYSJ are committed to ensure that children and young adults are not exploited as we expect to create a website to support the connectivity for all levels of electronic communication and provide links to all websites public and private to assist our families and young people obtain services. We are committed to assist in finding permanent solutions that enable us to prevent breakage in the family and assist with reunification and prevention of family homelessness.

Further, our aim is to broaden, and in some ways to redefine, our work at CYSJ to include community-based prevention as a direct service. Over the next year, our services will begin to evolve holistically to a model of proactive prevention before removal of the child begins. We understand that there are emergent circumstances that prohibit absolutely a child from remaining in the home, but we will change the dynamic by focusing our experience and creative energies to understand and modify the causes of family disenfranchisement and removal of children, at their roots.

We look forward to a continued relationship with you to make that special difference in the lives of families and children in New York each year.
